Do I need a referral from my Doctor?

You do not need a referral from your GP or specialist to visit Back To Health Clinic for both our Chiropractic and Exercise Physiology services.


Can I claim on Medicare?

Yes you can claim on Medicare when your GP has provided you with an approved Medicare ‘Enhanced Primary Care’ Plan. This plan allows you to have up to 5 consultations per calendar year for the management of chronic disease including chronic back pain, Diabetes and Osteoporosis.

If you have Type 2 Diabetes you are also eligible for an EXTRA 8 group exercise classes under Medicare called ‘Group Services for Type 2 Diabetes Patients’. This means that you can claim on up to 13 consultations per calendar year.

When referred by your GP please bring all paper work and any related scans such as x-rays along with your Medicare card.


Is there BULKBILLING available?

Yes. All Medicare referrals from your GP are Bulkbilled at Back To Health Clinic. This means that you pay no out of pocket costs for the nominated consultations!


Can I claim on Private Health Insurance?

Yes you can! All the major Health funds recognise Chiropractic and Exercise Physiology services. The amount you get back depends on the level of your cover. You can contact your health fund to find out more.


Can you claim HICAPS on the spot?

Yes. With the convenience of our on site HICAPS terminal you can claim both Medicare and Private Health rebates up front!


What payments methods do you accept? 

We accept eftpos, credit card, American Express and cash.


Do you offer discounts for DVA?

Yes we offer bulk billing for DVA services as well as discounted pension rates. Contact us to find out more.


Is parking available on site?

Street parking is available all along Coxs Road, including a Ryde Council car park and parking in the nearby shopping centre.


What should I wear to the sessions?

Wear loose fitting and comfortable clothing for both Exercise Physiology and Chiropractic consultation. We have change rooms and amenities located on site.


How long do appointments last?

Initial Consultations last approximately 45 minutes. Standard Chiropractic consultations are 30 minutes. For Exercise Physiology services, we offer both 30 minute and 60 minute one-on-one consultations. Also group exercise classes are 45-60 minutes with a maximum of 6 persons in each class.


Are you open on the weekends?
